The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Tuesday seized 12 40-footer compartment vans of smuggled rice from China with an expected estimation of P20 million.

The shipment was proclaimed as leatherette when it touched base at the Port of Manila on August 20.

The BOC Command Center issued a warning against shipment on October 4 after CCTV cameras could catch suspicious pictures.

At the point when the shipment was examined there none of the proclaimed material was found. Rather the agency found a huge number of sacks of rice.

The BOC noticed the shipment was entrusted to RPR International Trading, with street number at Severino Reyes St., Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Faeldon requested the agent’s accreditation as merchant suspended.

It was the first run through a merchant endeavored to pirate rice of this esteem into the nation through the Port of Manila, as indicated by the department. [source]
