Marathon release date confirmed by Bungie, open playtest to come

Marathon is the next title from Bungie, an extraction shooter set in a dark sci-fi world. After months of uncertainty, the developer has confirmed the game’s new release date, with pre-orders available now and an open preview coming at a later date.

On Jan. 19, Bungie announced that Marathon is releasing on Mar. 5. Pre-orders for the game are available now and come in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s, across Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with full cross-play and cross-save. Every edition grants full access to the game alongside gameplay updates as the year progresses.
